GT&T Guyana Star! Who Will It Be?

The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GT&T) have launched their 2011 Jingle and Song Competition under the title "Guyana Star". This competition is place into two groups "Indian Segment" and "English Segment".. Persons participating in the Indian segment will be required to perform a chutney,folk or Indi-pop rendition. The English segment is open to any genre of English music. In 2007, Guyana saw the first staging of the GT&T Jingle competition which attracted the attention of thousands. 


It was GT&T’s 2007 Jingle and Song Competition that saw the career birth of Guyanese singers Timeka Marshall (Seperate) , Cleon Codagon in 2008 ( Destiny Speaks) and Malika Boyd 2009 (Live, Love, Laugh). The competition returns this year by demand of the Guyanese people and is now open to all age groups. GT&T is assuring our supporters that this year will shatter all previous records set and Guyanese can look forward for something spectacular.


 Applications for all segments were closed on 12th September 2011, so be sure to welcome the GT&T Guyana Star show into your homes and vote for your next Guyana Star.
